On February 25th Reclaim 13 in collaboration with the Dance for Freedom Project hosted the Reclaiming Hope Project fundraiser at Arthur Murray Oakbrook Terrace. The Reclaiming Hope Project was an evening filled with a community of men and women who purposed to make a difference in ending sexual exploitation. Not only was is a successful evening of fund raising for Reclaim 13, but it was also a night to celebrate of all the achievements Reclaim 13 and the Dance for Freedom Project have accomplished over the last year… and what better way to celebrate than with an entire evening of dancing!
With the help of the Dance for Freedom Project, and its supporters, they were able to bring the fun and beauty of dance to the evening. The evening was filled with ballroom dancing, including a group class, that got everyone up and dancing. There was also an awesome Hustle Dance off in which Some of our very own Arthur Murray Schaumburg students competed in. As well as some beautiful professional performances, including a bolero danced by Schaumburg’s amazing Dance for Freedom hosts Amanda and Joseph.
Reclaim 13 is a non-profit organization that aids in the rescue and rehabilitation of girls rescued from sex trafficking in Chicago. Two of our Arthur Murray Schaumburg instructors, Amanda and Joseph, host the Dance for Freedom Project which is a monthly charity dance held at the Schaumburg studio. The dance collects donations for the Cherish House of Reclaim 13. The next Dance for Freedom will be held March 18th at 7:30pm.
